This photo-document is from the USHMM collection of photographs taken at the Nordhausen concentration camp in Nordhausen, Germany.
This particular image captures the physical condition of deceased prisoners during the time of liberation of the Dora-Nordhausen camp. The corpses were laid out for mass burial, however the mass burial did not happen, and the corpses stayed laid out until liberation of the camp.
