In the advertisement, the slogan used; "Always be the first and work harder than the others", in Dr. Wachsner's opinion, legitimizes anti-Semitism amongst anti-Semites. To Dr. Wachsner, the slogan implies that Jews are overeager to be better than others, and thus makes anti-Semitism appear as a defense mechanism. Fritz advises Erich to think carefully about printing advertisements in the future.
