Rachel Green Papers, 1900-1960

Brief Description: This collection spans the first half of the twentieth-century beginning in 1899 with Moses Forchheimer’s German citizenship papers and ending with the 1945 U.S. naturalization of Emil and Bertha Forchheimer in Columbus, Ohio.  The various affidavits and copies of necessary paperwork point to the many obstacles faced by families as they attempted to flee Nazi Germany.
